VE Day 80th Anniversary

Queen's Green Canopy - Update

To celebrate The Late Queen's Platinum Jubilee the National Association of Civic Officers invited civic heads to plant trees on Friday 11th March, (the seventieth day of 2022 in the seventieth year of Her Majesty's reign) as part of The Queen's Green Canopy initiative. Read more

Portrait Deadline Extended

On 1 April 2023, the Cabinet Office announced a new scheme to allow local authorities to apply for a free, framed portrait of His Majesty The King to celebrate the new reign.   On 15 January, the Cabinet Office released the official portrait. Read more

Royal Portrait update

After many months of silence, the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, has written to qualifying local authority Chief Executives, about the publicised free, framed portraits, of His Majesty The King. The letter contains details of how to apply, including a link to the supplier organisation, Cubiquity Limited. Read more
